FABULOUS FEBRUARY

What is fabulous about February? Beyond Valentine’s Day which this year is also Read to Your Child Day and Library Lover’s Day, February is National Library Lover’s Month, Black History Month, and National Heart Health Month. The 3rd was Take Your Child to the Library Day. It was also the inaugural drawing for Bruce’s Basket, a monthly drawing for Winston Weekly subscribers. This month’s winner owns a sweet German Shepherd named Sam.

Today kicks off Children’s Authors and Illustrators Week. The 7th is World Read Aloud Day, the 9th is Read in the Bathtub Day, and the 13th is Self-Love Day, Galentine’s Day, and International Pancake Day. And there is more…. As part of Fabulous February, let me introduce Scott Feld, a Certified Kids Life Coach, owner of MindZenMotion, and the best-selling children’s book author of DAX to the MAX. Dax is Scott’s amazing son who recently celebrated his eighth birthday. In DAX to the MAX, Scott inspires children to give wings to their imagination while encouraging and enhancing the habit of reading. Lisa McCourt, Joy Trainer and Author, said this about Scott’s book: “Scott Feld is moving humanity toward a critical understanding of the unlimited creative power of imagination – one child and teen at a time!”

THIS WEEK’S ACTIVITY

Use your imagination and be inspired by Fabulous February. Not that you need inspiration beyond Scott’s work, but Bruce recommends time outside watching the squirrels and enjoying the air, brisk as it may be. Bring the outdoors in and create a heart card for a neighbor, teacher, nurse, grandparent, or friend featuring something you saw outside, or something else fabulous about February
