Trees

Welcome to 2024, and the second publication of Winston Weekly. Last month, I took a back road to a dear friend’s house in one of my favorite places, Hermann, Missouri. On my way, I came across the tree below.

Something about it captivated me, and it served as my writing inspiration on January 6, 2024. It also reminded me of one of my favorite books as a child, The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. THIS WEEK’S ACTIVITY

Find a tree that inspires you and/or your child, grandchild, niece, or nephew, and write down five reasons the tree inspires you. If the one that inspires you is different from one that inspires your child, grandchild, niece, or nephew, discuss the differences.
